The Motorola CPEi 850 series Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) with WiMAX and WiFi capability provides high performing, self-orienting wireless broadband access to meet your end-users' voice and data needs.
With a balanced blend of power, performance, reliability and "wow" style, the CPEi 850 series introduces a unique, ultra-small, integrated form factor. The sleek unit was designed by Motorola's award winning, highly regarded Consumer Experience Design Team which is recognized for their work on the MOTORAZR and MO-TORAZR2 handsets. Extensive market research went into the CPEi 850's design to assure that this is a CPE that would enhance any home or office.
This CPE has substance and beauty. Network operators can count on the 802.16e WiMAX Forum Wave 2 certification ready, cutting-edge, CPEi 850. It has multiple data and voice access ports and high gain antennas that adaptively switch to offer best possible signal strength. Unique signal strength, data and voice indicators in the front and back of device makes it easy for users to easily check the status of the device. Its highly sensitive receiver exceeds the WiMAX Forum's specified receive sensitivity requirements. This combination not only reduces the base station infrastructure requirements to the operators, but also offers to the subscribers, better quality data and voice services (QoS), stretching the overall 64QAM and 16QAM service regions. Finally, advanced ventilation, integrated design and no moving parts makes the unit not only noise free, but also more reliable.
The CPEi 850 series features some of the most advanced antenna techniques available today. Our integrated, adaptive, switching feature and high-gainantennas enable hassle-free, easy orientation so the CPE will get the best possible radio signals with a simple plug and play, wherever you put it in the home or office. The Motorola CPEi 850 Series features dual adaptively switching antennas to support diversity techniques such as MRC Maximum Ratio Combining (MRC), MIMO Matrix A and B. Combined with multi-antenna operations at the access points and open and closed-loop adaptive antenna techniques, the CPE solution provides best-in-class range and indoor penetration.
All access ports in the plug and play CPEi 850 are integrated and it comes with all the device drivers preloaded. Subscribers do not need to perform any additional actions other than just connecting the device to their computer and voice handsets. In-built device drivers mean no CDs are required for end user installation. The network will automatically detect the device and perform the necessary authentication processes. In addition, zero-install design and over the air (OTA) software upgrades eliminates the need for costly truck rolls or operator intervention. Finally, the CPEi 850 was designed to offer WiFi access. Motorola's CPEi 850 series industrial design supports multiple frequencies and channel bandwidths seamlessly in addition to providing a best-in-class desktop wireless broadband modem with high power integrated WiFi 802.11 functionality. Multiple data, voice and WiFi connection make this device a compact communications center for all the advanced home communication requirements, replacing multiple boxes such as Ethernet router, external VoIP device and the WiFi router.
CPE device performance is a factor of antenna gain, receiver sensitivity, orientation, diversity techniques used and transmitter power. The radiated performance of WiMAX CPE devices can differ dramatically; in a typical environment 3 to 6dB low-end performance by CPEs on your network can translate to the need for over two times as many access points in order to provide the same level of service. This factor needs special attention particularly during the initial deployment periods of the network.
The Motorola CPEi 850 Series supports remote management capability allowing management and health monitoring of the devices from a centralized network or element management system. Advanced security and authentication protocols protect the end-user and the operator from external threats.
CPEi850 series offers two integrated ports in addition to the data and VOIP ports enabling the subscribers to connect an optional remote, high gain antenna. This could not only help subscribers get a better quality of service in the cell boundaries, but also may allow operators to provide last mile coverage and services in the most cost effective manner. An easy-to-read signal strength indicator provides the customer visibility into the performance of the unit and indicates when to swivel the antennas to assist in increasing the device's reception.
The Motorola CPEi 850 Series is part of the MOTOwi4 family of broadband wireless access technologies, a comprehensive platform of wireless broadband solutions and services. Designed to complement and complete operator networks, MOTOwi4 solutions address a broad range of applications across operator segments. Our wi4 WiMAX CPEs and devices demonstrate exceptional ability to overcome the harsh conditions of the radio propagation environment. So they'll not only deliver excellent performance for your subscribers, but lower costs and higher returns to you
